Hey Mamas, so great to have you here! My name is Emily, proud Mama of my baby girl, Zahlia who was born in April 2021.

Leading up to my journey into matrescence (physical, emotional, and social transition to becoming mother), I took a deep dive into the birthing world, as I'm sure most women do. It was clear to me that so many women were "in the dark" about their options and their rights to choose what their birthing journey would look like. But also what little support was offered to them after they brought their babies Earth side.

During my pregnancy, I had planned for a home water birth with a private midwife, a doula and my incredible partner by my side. I was educated on all of my options during pregnancy, birth and everything that comes after. I was able to make informed choices and I hope that all of you find that strength to do that for yourselves too.
After all, we are not just birthing our babies. We are birthing a new woman, a mother.

Although the birth didn't end up how I wanted or expected it to, (it usually never does), I was blessed to have had the support that I did and the knowledge of what was to come, regardless of the outcome. 
I want to help women ease into this beautiful journey of motherhood, whether it be for a first, second or fifth baby! It takes a village, that saying could never be more true.

I am so passionate about supporting women, holding space for them, nourishing them in those first few weeks of postpartum life. We all need to find women to support us in our tribe and I want to be that support person for you and the whole family.
